Kamon Therrien about this book: Resiliency is a quality much needed for children living in today's fast paced world. I wrote "The Mahogany Dancer" story for the children of St-Mary Orphanage, Uganda. But children in developed countries do not face the hardship of having to work, survive, and help the family. Our children have to face emotional difficulties mainly caused by the ways we have chosen to live in society.
In my story of "The Mahogany Dancer", Nangoma is confronted to the loss of her father. She is overwhelmed by sadness. I wanted to give my character, Nangoma, a way out of sadness. I wanted to teach children that whatever negative feeling you have inside, if you lose sight of the long term picture; you lose the key to the outer gate, the gate of tomorrow land. I hope I succeeded in passing the message to parents and children. I hope you will enjoy reading it, I have decided to let the ebook version FREE. Like all my books, "The Mahogany Dancer" is available in English and in French:À l'ombre de l'acajou.
