Book: The Adventures of Joe Fenek by Graham Bayes
|4 stars, 1 review on Amazon|
Graham Bayesabout this book: I used to tell stories to my children when they were young. Imaginary stories, with characters the children could relate to. The stories in this book are not those, but others that I have put together since retiring to Gozo about 6 years ago.
They are meant for enjoyment by all readers of all ages, but aimed at children aged 6 to 8.
Imagine a rabbit living in a burrow in Malta. He has rats, mice, a shrew, a hedgehog and a horse for friends. They have adventures together, real adventures, sharing every day experiences. Riding in cars and horseboxes, going on the channel ferry, seeing and hearing the fireworks. All seen from the view of the rabbit, his experiences of these things.
All the stories (there are 6 in this book) are set on the beautiful islands of Malta and Gozo, in the middle of the Mediterranean.
There are some difficult to pronounce village names included. Do your best to say them out loud when you read.
I hope you enjoy these adventures.
