Book: Edward, Con Extraordinaire by Inge H. Borg

Inge H. Borgabout this book: The inspiration for this book? If someone says 'personal experience,' I'll deny everything. Alas, there are such men as Edward, and-sadly-I can vouch for it.
The inspiration for the cover came from the sporty Jaguar he drove but he had no explanation why the registration did not bear his name; at least not the name he sported the time...
Now, he goes by the name of Edward Guernsey-Crock. Sometimes, he adds an 'Esquire,' so that the uninitiated may be duly impressed. Sometimes, he hints of hailing from the island of Guernsey—an old family seat replete with bovine wealth, don't you know.
He is tall, handsome and moves with a grace and assurance that is never lost on the ladies. When he begins to court them in his British Eton-tinged accent, the usually over forty-something—but always well-to do—women believe they have died and gone to heaven. Naturally, they adore him and shower him with gifts.
Edward's tastes are impeccable. He wears Armani and Gucci, he drives a Jaguar, and he is well-read. He is also a Con Extraordinaire who knows how to live the good life-of course, on somebody else's money.
When he accompanies Betsy Bunting to Egypt, however, fate catches up with him as the malevolent Sirocco, Storm over Land and Sea, strikes.
