B Pepinesqabout this book: Without doubt 'Between the Eyes - Kingdom of Innocence' is a reading experience that requires a certain virginity of thought.
In this story we again meet the recently promoted Pépin, hereditary Prince of the Principality of Pogo. This time Pépin has been promoted to King of the Kingdom of Innocence. Will he be less incompetent than as King of the Kingdom of Amour or as King in the Kingdom of Folly? Well by now I think we all know the answer to that.
And yet B Pepinesq has dared to face up to the challenge to see the world around us with the "innocent eyes of a child."
What does innocence mean to you?
Did you even pause for a moment to reflect on the question of what innocence means to you. Or did you glibly read on expecting to be given the answer?
Another question for you. Is it possible to know what a specific word actually means to someone else?
Of course there is a standard dictionary definition and yet how we interpret and use a word is very individualistic.
As in Pépinesque.
