Book: Building Construction Field Forms...using Excel by Barton Jahncategories: Book, Interior Design, Quality Assurance, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, Debugging, Constructability Analysis, Engineering, Mistake Prevention, College, Information Management, Building Construction
Barton Jahnabout this book: This book should be helpful to college graduates of construction management programs entering the workforce, small construction companies taking on larger projects requiring increased management sophistication, and large construction companies missing s few of these field forms.
Typically, the normal practices for people working in the field in building construction is to copy the field forms that are in use at their current project, and take them to heir next project or new company, revising and improving these forms as their careers progress.
Although there are several resources for building construction office forms, to my knowledge no one has written a book presenting an exhaustive collection of field forms for use in building construction.
This book contains 32 field forms, forged through years of experience and iterations, for use in commercial and residential building construction. Each field form or spreadsheet comes with step-by-step Excel keystrokes comprising the logical architecture to create each form...making the book useful for beginner or expert alike.
This was an enjoyable yet challenging book to write. I think it forms a wide basis upon which people in building construction can revise easily to be more project-specific...and can add more forms to complete their tool-kit of field forms.
