Book: Clan of the Bigfoot by Walter Parks

Walter Parksabout this book: Clan of the Bigfoot is the story of a young teacher that takes his summer to hunt for Bigfoot. He is inspired by a recent sighting in Louisiana. He not only finds Bigfoot but actually joins the Clan.
I have always been interested in stories of Yeti and Bigfoot. I knew that we had at least 8 species of "cousins" all living at the same time about a million years ago. Until recently we thought that Neanderthals were our last cousins and they died out about 28,000 years ago.
And then a new cousin was found that lived only 12,000 and maybe only 4,000 years ago. These latest fossils inspired me to write this book.
I believe there is a wide audience of those interested in Bigfoot and similar mysteries of our animal relationships.
The book required a great deal of research about our ancient ancestors and cousins and the many claimed Bigfoot sightings. It took about 7 months of research and writing to publish this book. I created the cover by morphing an ancient cousin with a modern person.
Writing this book opened my mind to the many varied creatures from which we supposedly evolved and the possible interplay between us and a cousin.
I encourage readers to open their minds and think of the possibilities.
