"The Adventures of Cefa the Cat, Cefa Finds a Home" is an easy read for the young elementary student or for the parent who wants a good bedtime story for their little one. The illustrations are animated, cute and very colorful. Although this book was not design to promote a specific lesson, parents and teachers can draw several messages from it to discuss with the children.
This series is based on the adventures, or misadventures as some will find, of the Caton's Russian Blue cat. He was a very active cat with a lot of character. He would roam around the yard and eventually found himself in various situations. It was fun to watch as he tried to decide just how he was going to find a way out. Cristine used these situations as the basis of her stories.
Cristine Caton is retired and lives with her husband in Ocala Florida. She started her working career as an elementary school teacher and ended it as a graphic designer. When she decided to take up writing she combined these two careers to develop her first book. Judy Drmacich Ryan is retired and lives with her husband in St. Louis, Missouri. She loves drawing and illustrating along with her first love of music.
"The Adventures of Cefa the Cat" is an internet collaboration in the true sense of the word. Cristine wrote the words and her cousin, Judy Ryan, drew the characters and facial expressions. Pictures were sent via email and put into a graphics program for finishing touches. After much writing and editing, drawing and redrawing, changing and rearranging the final product was uploaded to the print-on-demand website Create Space and is now available online.
