Catherine D'Aquila about this book: While my children were growing up and involved in school I was occasionally confronted with teachers who would not accommodate and some who use inappropriate management tactics. As a teacher I encountered similar situations with fellow teachers. I decided to write this book in order to offer support to parents as well as to be used as a learning tool for educators. My philosophy of education requires every teacher to help every child regardless of differences they may possess, to provide a psychologically safe environment, and to avoid using humiliation and bullying in the classroom management plan. Some of the stories are disturbing and happened to my own children and some of the comments by teachers I witnessed really give the readers an insight on what goes on the the schools. I was inspired by the students I taught in order to ensure that they will be provided with the best educational experience out there.
