Book: Reflections by Carol Carrollcategories: Book, Memories, 1950s, 1960s, Fun, Difficulties, Emotional, Baby Boomers
Carol Carrollabout this book: The baby boomers that came of age in the 1960's, especially the ones who grew up on a farm, will recognize many of the happenings in my book - Reflections. Life was simpler then, but not necessarily easy, and this book is meant to bring back memories for those who lived through those years. It also opens a valuable insight into the past for our children and those who follow. Even though this is a novel, a work of fiction, it is a story many people could have lived. Do you remember when family meant being there for one another no matter what, when people really did go to Grandma's house for Christmas and spent the day with the whole family, when television sets first came out, what it meant for our young men to go to Viet Nam, the innocence of children, and when commitments were honored?
For those who wish to see what life is like for Linda and her family after Reflections — the sequel, Always in My Heart is now available also. Both books are full of emotion, fun, difficulty, and mystery. I hope you enjoy the stories.
