Tracy Ruth Waters

Author Tracy Ruth Watersabout this book: My book is about a journey I took to the Amazon Rain Forest to work with a world renowned shaman to help with a brain injury I required in a car accident, that left me in a lot of pain and with a very bad memory. I discovered I was not recovering from the car accident because of trauma my body had undergone from a gang rape that had occurred that I had pushed into my subconscious and not dealt with. I was inspired to write the book because there are many ceremonies with ayahuasca being done in the North Americas, and through this plant the manipulation that was bestowed upon me its facilitators slowed down the process of my healing, and turned out to have the same bad intentions as the gang that raped me many years ago. I'm hoping people that have suffered at the hands of perpetrators or know of someone that has, well read my story. As well as the many people that travel the globe and get involved with the very sacred plant ayahuasca. They need to read this book to discover that darkness comes in all sizes and colors and is often disguised in those that call themselves healers.

Reliving the book and exposing myself in this very raw form was hard and I often found myself intimated by those that wanted it to me more flowery and based on a true story instead of remaining authentic to the the truth. I designed this cover while in the jungle in Peru with a friend whom is a fabulous artist, the serpent of course representing the womb, and the process of the re-birth I experienced, and the vine on my body is the ayahuasca vine. I learned from writing the book and reading my experiences that most of the dysfunctional path my life took was of course because of the rape, but also I was always searching for the love and family I never felt I got at home.

Please read my book with an open mind and contact me if you have any questions or anything I can help you with.
