about this book: The book "On the Air with Milli Mills: The Triumphs of a Radio Diva" was written by Legendary Radio Personality of the South, Milli Mills as a tribute to the radio broadcast industry. The book was also written to inspire apiring artists of every race, genre, color, creed, nationality, and age. The challenges and obstacles faced by Milli as a female thriving in the field of media/broadcast inspired her to write this book. The primary readers of the book are mainly African American and females. It took 4 years to write this book due to Milli's hectic schedule as a single working mother and commitment to doctoral studies.
The title derived from Milli's 20 year plus career experience in radio/broadcasting. The cover was chosen when an artist drew a cariature of Milli at one of her employer's annual Christmas parties. Milli felt that the cover would be a good lead to the dawning of new TV animation series. The hardest part of writing the book for Milli was finishing it. Milli had to do a little research on Google and Yahoo to obtain accuracy of release dates of smash hits of songs recorded by recording artists. While writing the book, Milli learned there will be days that one will not be motivated to write or continue writing the book. Milli wants her readers to be able to find a section in the book that they can easily relate to and be inspired by it.
