Hazel S. Mullerabout this book: The Accident and the Artist is a book written out of a personal experience. It is true. I thought my life had come to an end, and indeed my life as I had known it did come to an end. I was no longer able to work so had to learn to do something else to occupy my time. But, before that could happen I went through a lot of pain and pain medication. Part of the book happens during the times my body was absent from the meanderings of my mind.
I wanted to show that even if bad things happen to you, there can be something that you were truly meant to be at the end of it. I am a survivor of many things. A very bad motorcycle accident is just one of those things. Before it happened I was a eight to five, five days a week woman trying to keep all the details of my life together, after I became an artist free to follow the paths that looked interesting to me to go to retreats and conferences if I wanted, to write the stories that kept circulating in my head. Look for the opportunities to change.
