David R. Dugginabout this book: The Man From Atlantis will be a series of five books, all released in serial format. When I approach an idea for a novel, I tend to take a stripped down idea, and if that idea is viable for a story, begin to add structure. With The man From Atlantis, the base idea was simply a young man looking down a road. Then you must ask yourself, why is he looking down the road. Where does this young man come from? What is down that road, and beyond.
I hope that everyone will enjoy my work, but primarily people who like coming of age journey stories should find my work appealing.
The hardest part about my writing my books is finishing and finding the time to do so. I also heavily researched my book once I settled on a location, much like a movie shoot. I researched online alot, and interviewed people local to the are where the story takes place.
The Man From Atlantis is about a young man who, like his father, has set out to find paradise. In actuality, the main character's father left him at an early age, and the idea of finding paradise is a paradox, as the young man is already aware whether any real paradise will ever be found. The journey, and the people that he meets along the way are the key to this story, as well as revealing the main character's past through the story's action.
