Benjamin Frank Andrews

Author Benjamin Frank Andrewsabout this book: This book is about a school boy who happens on a career as an assassin. His upbringing shows him that there is no wrong in what he does for a living until he encounters one particular assignment where he is discovered during a hit. This jar in his perfection turned him onto a life changing path to a place he needed to choose between right and wrong.

I was inspired to write this book from a story a street preacher told me over 20 years ago. I never forgot the story and one day decided to write a fiction book about how a person's life can change by a word of hope. I have written this book for a general audience. Though this book may seem to be written for a Christian audience, but my intention is for anyone to enjoy reading it.

I came up with the title because the main character is an assassin that never left the city, and then subtitled the book to reflect the content of a changed life. I chose the cover for the book when I first saw it. My publisher sent it to me after reading my submitted work. It reflected the city theme and I thought the face overlooking the city was a great affect.

The hardest part of writing this book was detail. I am a facts oriented person and do not notice detail, so for me to think about adding detail surrounding the fact was a challenge. Writing this book was definitely a learning experience. The challenge of continuing the task and the process of having the manuscript edited and reading and fixing and editing again was a task that tried my patience. I enjoyed researching the information for parts of the book so that I would be able to present "facts" properly.

I do hope the readers enjoy City Assassin / A Life of Change as much as I enjoyed writing it. Note chapter 11 of the book. There are a few copies that list the chapter title 11 as chapter title 10, these are rare copies.
