Peter Carrollabout this book: The theme for this book came from a short passage in my first novel - In Many Ways. I wanted to create a scientifically plausible zombie story. Scary but intelligent. Dark but witty.
A scientist decides to use a fighting dog to develop a bio-weapon but things go badly awry when the dog escapes.
The story follows a group of seemingly disparate characters as they try to deal with the collapse of society as a virus initially carried by the dog sweeps through the population. As the story progresses, the fates of these characters intertwine and there are some shocks and twists along the way too.
There are elements of horror, sci-fi, thriller and political satire but the driving force of the book is the characters. You'll be rooting for some and hoping that some others get their comeuppance.
I hope you enjoy the book and if you do I'd be incredibly grateful if you left a review somewhere on the web for others to see.
