I felt that after more than 20 years of experience, I have become increasingly aware of the subtle changes that can make all the difference to a troubled client, and I wanted to share this experience and knowledge more widely.
Until I wrote Overcoming anxiety, all my royalties had come from writings for my peers. I felt it was important to share this information more widely.
