Scott Bolzanabout this book: The purpose for writing this memoir was to detail my life after my accident on December 17, 2008 which resulted in a traumatic brain injury that resulted in losing 46 years of my entire life's memories due to complete retrograde amnesia. I wanted to share my story in hopes that anyone else that has suffered from this horrific condition does not feel like they are ever alone. After my accident I was elected to the board of directors of the Brain Injury Association of Arizona and I realized how many people have been affected by brain injuries. Since the book has come out I have been in contact with approximately 100 people from around the world that have been diagnosed with retrograde amnesia. Writing this memoir was very difficult because it brought out so many emotions that I have learned to bury deep side of me to prevent myself from dealing with the effects that retrograde amnesia brings.
