Proud Ndlovuabout this book: This is a story about persecution, perseverance and the ultimate triumph of good over evil.
There is rampant lawlessness in Bindonia as civil war rages on and amidst this turmoil, Nomalanga falls victim to a rebel soldier who rapes and impregnates her. Although her family rallies around her in support, Nomalanga is scared that her marriage would fall apart if the true identity of her unborn child's father was known and so she lets her husband believe that the pregnancy was his – an error of judgement which will later on return to haunt her family.
A decade later, with the country at peace, the ex-rebel soldier, Marfrock, now a successful but vicious night club baron, returns and suddenly Nomalanga and her family find themselves chained to an ugly past that just won't go away.
What inspired me to write Chains of the Past, so someone may ask. I've a story to tell; a story which hopefully enough, readers out there will not only enjoy reading but also learn something from it. Additionally, although not published, I have written short stories in the past and so writing fiction has always been something which I enjoy doing.
