Book: JIGSAW by JB Clemmens

JB Clemmensabout this book: As I was in college during the peace movement, I speculated about what would happen if the US became pacifistic because of it. Jigsaw is a fictional story where the Alaska pipeline is destroyed and the government can't retaliate (because of a peace amendment in the Constitution) and is forced to ban gasoline for all personal use. Characters Beat Duncan and Darla Sennot lose their nuclear plant jobs when another missile attack destroys their building near Wright-Patterson. They decide to walk to Pittsburgh, 256 miles away, to find work and connect with the men in their lives. Romance motivates and intrigue complicates their journey as they are stalked by an evil man who wants something they have.
It's called Jigsaw because Beat's grandfather made wooden puzzles and she remembers him by relaxing doing jigsaws. She often thinks of events and people as "fitting" or "missing" from her life's jigsaw picture.
All people over 15, regardless of gender or political slant, can enjoy this quick read and light adventure.
