Author Jan Hurst-Nicholsonabout this book: If you enjoy reading The Hardy Boys then you might like to try Mystery at Ocean Drive, which is set in South Africa.

Jason Hunter's imagination tends to get him into trouble, but when he meets the mystery girl at Ocean Drive he also ropes in his two friends and all three find themselves involved in a dangerous plot.

While Jason is delivering newspapers in Ocean Drive he narrowly escapes serious injury when his scrambler motorbike slews under a Mercedes that is exiting a driveway. An attractive girl leaps from the backseat to ask if he is hurt, but before Jason can reply she is bundled back into the car and driven off.

Jason's has a gut-feeling that the girl is in trouble.

The next day he sees her in an upstairs window and presses the intercom and asks to speak to her. But he is told that there is no girl living there. Why?

• MYSTERY AT OCEAN DRIVE was a runner-up in the Citizen/Pan MacMillan 2010 YA novel award.

• "The action starts up right away and doesn't give to the very end. The lead character is a great role model for young boys, he's clever and persistent and also has a pair of great friends willing to help him whenever he needs it." — Bookaholics Book Club.
