Book: Toys, Games, and Action Figure Collectibles of the 1970s - Volume I Action Jackson to Gre-Gory the Bat by Jonathon Jones

Jonathon Jonesabout this book: As a child of the 1970s, and a spoiled one at that (I'm honest, so I'm going to admit it) I had the unique opportunity to not only live through one of the greatest toy decades that ever existed, but also have an overabundance of toys to play with when I was there. Therefore, when I began this book series, with this being the first of four volumes, it was like reliving my childhood all over again. I can only hope that I can bring as much joy to those who read it as I experienced while writing it.
This particular volume has around 225 pictures and covers around 75 categories. Also, what makes it unique is that it is not specifically centered towards boys or girls but, rather, both. Therefore, do not be surprised if you see categories such as Battlestar Galactica and Barbie in the same book. They're all there for a reason. The reason is because I wanted this series to be as complete as I could possibly make it, and wanted *anyone* who lived through the 70s to find something they remembered as a child.
However, it doesn't stop there. For both new collectors and old, this book series is a tremendous benefit. Not only due to the descriptions and visual stimuli, but also because most categories have checklists that list virtually every toy I could possibly find for each category.
So, enjoy it! I know I did! :)
