Book: In The Shadow of Evil (The Evil Series Book 3) by Robin Caroll
When asked why the author wrote this book, Robin replied, "Since I'm from Louisiana, the hurricanes devastation and rebuilding interested me when a fellow author read me an article about rebuilding scams and shortcuts. I also wanted to show deep relationship dynamics of adult children and their parents...with misunderstandings and implied hurts." Robin says, "I hope readers will gain insight [...]

Book: Fuckleberry Kin (ZspotDiaries Book 13) by Zoe Scarlatti
Fuckleberry Kin is Short Episode 13 of @ZoeScarlatti's #ZspotDiaries. Great summer fun for the whole family. Or almost the whole family. A dash of politics, a splash of cultural references, and a delightful pinch of murder. The upside to an overnight contract in Little Rock, Arkansas? It's not Oklahoma. And you don't smell the pig shit all day. If the wind's from the east. Which it [...]

Book: Likening My Life to the Apostle Dieter Friedrich Uchtdorf by Ilyan Kei Lavanway
It is encouraging to understand that unheralded, common folk like you and me can find parallels in, and pattern our lives after, the lives of great and influential leaders in God's kingdom on Earth. This short work affords readers priceless insights into the life of one of the living Apostles of Jesus Christ, Dieter F. Uchtdorf. Readers will find that, aside from offering an inspiring glimpse of [...]

Book: Destination - Freedom - a memoir based on the true life story of a young girl Lily and her mom by Lily Amis
A great book. Rarely, do I read these type of books but I was captivated by this book. I had the good fortune to meet Lily & her mother in Italy. After talking to them, I had to get the book to find out more. It was insightful especially with everything that is going on in the mid-east. It was also inspirational to see what some people have to endure & how they respond.

Book: Runaway - A Tragedy of Youth by Peter Alpert
Runaway: A Tragedy of Youth is a novel based upon an actual criminal case I handled in 1978. It deals with difficult family dynamics, a teenager who runs away from home in search of a better life and the complications that come with that decision. I have followed the case over the years and the book brings the reader current and leaves one pondering some of of society's problems in dealing with [...]

Book: A Decision of Faith (Dreams of Plain Daughters Book 4) by Diane Craver
When I originally started writing this Amish series, I never thought about having a book focused on Violet Robinson, but her character demanded one. I found it challenging to write about two people falling in love when their backgrounds are completely different. They need to overcome major obstacles if they stay together. Deciding which world to live in will not be an easy choice for an Amish man [...]

Book: The Celestial Track - Preparing for the Apocalypse by Bala Mookoni
The Celestial Track: Preparing for the Apocalypse is my first book. Like many others, I was bitten by the books-bug when I was a tween. And having read on a wide array of genres, many lovely images were constantly gamboling in my mind's eye, waiting to get captured in print. Since they were of a diverse nature, they acquired a sort of uniqueness when I started to connect them. Therefore, the [...]

Book: BriefReads Guide to Better Than Before - Mastering the Habits of Our Everyday Lives by Gretchen Rubin | Summary & Analysis by BriefReads
This summary and analysis guide for Gretchen Rubin's book "Better Than Before: Mastering the Habits of Our Everyday Lives" is designed as a companion to her book and was written for easy reference to the details in Gretchen's book. I've found when I've read the detailed original book, often I want to just review the summary as a refresher, and like some analysis as well. Out of this need that [...]

Book: I Survived by John Wayne Ryan
Only read this this year because of some recent arrests. If ever I read a True Hands On account of Brisbane and the Corrupt Cops and being in bed with the Scum of the Underbelly and Painters & Dockers this Book has got to be IT. My Father knew John and backs up everything he says BUT says John knows a lot more going back to the 60s. Hope the coming Trial throws some more light on the Disgusting [...]

Book: Runaway Desire by Elaine Angelus Kehler
I wrote my first novel thinking I would publish stand-alone books. As it turned out, I liked the characters in my first book so much, I had to go on and tell their story. "Runaway Desire" is about misunderstandings, responsibility, loyalty and great sex. It is an adventure with villains, smugglers, tropical islands and a twist or two. I wrote "Runaway Desire" while recuperating from breast [...]

Book: Destination - Freedom - a memoir based on the true life story of a young girl Lily and her mom by Lily Amis
I would highly recommend this book, it's a vivid and stark description of the trials and tribulations experienced by the author ... the sort of experiences that i'm sure immigrants all round the world are subjected to daily. The story takes place in two unnamed cities, ASIAcity and EUcity. The identity of ASIAcity will be quite easily guessed by many people I think. Not so, EUcity, although there [...]

Book: Destination - Freedom - a memoir based on the true life story of a young girl Lily and her mom by Lily Amis
This fabulous real story is decrypting the secrets of Human-beings in this gloomy world. When i read this book i can't stop my mind asking Why?! And for what sin that little innocent Lily is condemned to tolerate incredible tortures?! And most ridiculous and confusable thing is, that happened in the center of Cradle of new civilization.. i think by reading this painful story, every one asks about [...]

Book: Destination - Freedom - a memoir based on the true life story of a young girl Lily and her mom by Lily Amis
If asked 'Name the first thing that comes into your mind when Switzerland (in this book called EUcity) is mentioned, most people would probably pick from either 'cheese', 'watches', 'chocolate' or even 'Roger Federer'! 'A Gilded Cage' would probably be last on that list, if at all. This book presents the reader with a disturbingly new view of Europe. It follows the fortunes (or misfortunes to [...]
